Unforgivable by Mike Thomas is the second in the DC Will MacReady series and the follow up to last year's Ash and Bones.
The story starts with bombs going off in Cardiff and then follows the police chase to find the perpetrator but with few clues to hand can they find the person involved before another bomb is detonated?
The book is well written and kept me interested throughout. It id a really good crime/ thriller
MacReady has a complicated personal life but don't all detectives? This isn't allowed to detract from the main storyline but is well used to develop the story and to allow the reader to better understand MacReady.
Despite this being the second in a series you can read it as a standalone although I think that you will be finding a copy of Ash and Bones once you've read Unforgivable
