I wanted to love this book. I did love the blurb, the cover and the first impression.
However I just couldn’t get into it at all. I didn’t like the characters, the style of writing or pace. So I walked away and went back to it. Felt the same.
4 attempts in and it’s just not for me.
I am sorry to say this book just didn’t hold my interest. At all. I was bored and not at all invested in it. Got to beyond half way and still felt the same.
It is most unlike me to walk away from a book but I had to. I just couldn’t struggle on with it any longer and I can probably count on one hand the number of times I’ve done this.
I am grateful for the advanced copy and I am sorry this just wasn’t my book but good luck
