I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The writing is incredible and I was engaged with this book from page one.
The characters are so complex but it is written in such a way that you don’t fully realise the complexity of it all until the book is finished. The story is deep and full of heart - while being tense and also full of darker moments. It really is a book of light and shade.
Despite it being a larger book I still found myself barrelling through it desperate to know where the story was going & how the characters were going to be affected.
I have only read one other book by this author, which I also loved. I think Chris Whitaker will definitely be one of my go to auto but authors.
I’ll be honest I’m not overly keen on the cover, which is why I put off reading it for so long. But not am I glad I finally read it!
