I read this very quickly because I thought that it was very engaging and easy to read. The story was told by different characters throughout the book. It basically is a story about a woman called Helen who walks away from her life and just disappears. She leaves her husband and children and goes to a different life. Her husband Sam falls to pieces and we feel his despair throughout his narratives and although I do feel sorry for him sometimes, I don't think he copes very well and needs to be stronger especially for his children. He relies very heavily on a friend who again we hear her perspective through her narrative. Eventually we hear Helens side of the story and we begin to piece together her life. I thought that this book was very engaging and worth a read.
