I found this a very rapid read, initially interested to find out why Helen had walked away from this seemingly perfect life, and then becoming concerned as hints of reasons started to be revealed.
I didn’t ultimately feel clear as to what point Rosie Fiore wanted to make with the story- without commenting in too much depth and revealing spoilers, was it to show the long term effects of past conflicts, the suffering of children in these circumstances which often doesn’t resurface until many years later or the need for self realisation in Sam? I hurried to the end hoping for answers, but in spite of several twists along the way didn't feel that all of my questions were answered.
Notwithstanding these comments , I did enjoy it, I love the cover- I am extremely fond of that particular view, and certainly would suggest it as a holiday read.
