This is a subject so profound, so current and never told from this point of view.

An imperfect Mother, a Sister who blames herself and a damaged and desperate young man driven to commit an act of terror, though not in the name of religion but still in the name of something he has been brought up to believe in and to be accepted by peers who care not for his wellbeing. The reader can’t help but wonder if this story is played out within families when these attacks happen for real.

Truth be told I didn’t particularly like any of the characters in this book but i don’t think the author intended me to and I did sympathise with Laura as she went back through her children’s upbringings. This book will stay will me for a while, like Chris Cleves incendiary, it bravely discusses a subject we would all like to imagine didn’t exist.
