I read Louise's first book, 'Wilde Like Me', and although I must admit it was nowhere near as progressive and stimulating as some of the novels I'm used to reading as an English Literature student, it was a refreshing change. It's the kind of book that feels like you're having a chilled, gossip-y night in with the girls. It's a feel-good, go-out-there-and-get-it type of book and it looks like Louise's second book is going to be very similar. If you're looking for lots of mad action, these novels aren't going to be for you.. but if you're looking for a warm-hearted, relatable and easy-going read after a long day, then this will be for you! I like the fact that the second book looks at similar issues to the first book without feeling too same-y and repetitive. Robin as a character makes for a delightful read, as someone quite sarcastic and full of humour I found it very easy to get into her head and become one with the character. I like the style of writing, it's very easy to understand and I think it offers people of all ages and backgrounds the chance to get into the book! I like Louise's work and look forward to seeing more from her!
