A cosy read, much like the author herself.

I bought this as an easy holiday read (having been aware of Louise Pentland's career and content for quite a while). It was a lovely story that was told in a style reminiscent of her common 'vlogging' style - with elements of her personality dotted throughout the pages - and is a great 'holiday' story as it is so light-hearted.

I rooted for the protagonist, and although some of the plot-points were somewhat unbelievable, found it easy to get lost in the story and easily pass the time. It is somewhat reminiscent of the style of Sophie Kinsella, albeit with a slightly more modern main character.

However, would I recommend this to the average reader with no awareness of the author? Probably not.
