A heart warming tale about the struggles of a single working mum, Robin Wilde, her troubles with men, family and PSM (posh school mums).
Easily recognisable insecurities, daily issues and social conformation fill the pages covering a year in the life of the main character.
Plenty of laugh out loud moments along with a few cringe, been there moments too.
Admittedly not a challenging read but definitely thought provoking in places especially how looking in on some bodies life and how that person views their life is rarely even close to being the same.
At times the main character becomes self wallowing and indulgent but who hasn't, and the author's insight into 'The Emptiness', suggests she has a good understanding of depression and it's affects on a person.
A wonderful first novel, will definitely be looking out for more.
