This is a book about a young boy diagnosed with a very rare form of eye cancer. The story is told by Ross and begins as he is having his first radiotherapy treatment. Rob Harrell wrote this book from personal experience as he also had this form of cancer though as an adult not a teenager. It was when a friend's daughter was diagnosed with cancer that he felt the need to write this book. As Ross struggles to cope with the cancer he also has to deal with the reactions of others. His best friend Isaac doesn't know what to say or do and so ignores him completely. Some of his school mates are cruel, while others are curious. Ross finds some escape in the batpig cartoons he draws and then he discovers music. This is a must read book for everyone.
