This is a must read book not just for the target younger audience but everyone. It is told by Ross as he tries to come to terms with being diagnosed with a very rare form of eye cancer. It is made even harder as his mother died from cancer several years before. He only wants to go unnoticed at school which is of course impossible especially when he has to wear a large hat both indoors and out. His best friends react differently. One completely ignoring him because he just doesn't know how to react and the other very supportive. Fortunately Ross finds a way to express his feelings through music and with the help of his radiographer he learns to play the guitar. The author of this book writes from personal experience of this form of cancer.
