I have absolutely no hesitation in giving this book 5 stars, it was perfect in every way. I immediately fell in love with all of the characters (well almost all of them!) and felt so connected to them. No attempt was made to sugarcoat the effects of cancer, and Ross's emotions felt all the more real and raw because of it. The wider impacts of cancer on friends and family were also touched upon in a realistic and sensitive way. I don't think this book could have been written by someone who hadn't experienced all of these things. I love the cover and the concepts. Everything about this book was perfectly formed, from the characters and their emotions to the comic strips. I read the entire book in one sitting, it was absolute and total escapism. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. Everyone should read it.
