I can’t believe how good the first 27 pages of this book is, a young boy (Ross) has been diagnosed with a tumour and he is receiving treatment via radiotherapy to help obliterate it, but what inspires me about this book is how he copes with it all even with his friends and family, putting on the brave face as if it doesn’t bother him and deals with the situation head on.
Ross is around eleven years of ago as he’s in seventh year, he has been put through some much turmoil of prodding and poking from all the tests and then the scary part of treatment and still holds himself together making jokes with his friends even when they are unable to cope with the situation and avoid him as they don’t know how to behave or react around him and he keeps on striving to beat it.
Fantastic read and well thought out.
