I was lucky enough to win a copy of this book from Readers First.

Initially, I did not read this straight away as I passed it straight to my 12 year old niece to read. She devoured it in a couple settings. I asked her how she felt about the book and she said that it was funny and sad. That it needed to be sad and yet funny at the same time so that you could understand what Ross was going through.

And she is completely right. This book felt like the perfect balance of a horrible physical situation to go through, but also how a child would have to cope with it at school. How family like could change, how school life could change and most of all, how friendships could change. The introduction of music for Ross was a lifeline.

This book is so important for understanding how any type of cancer or illness affects children.
