I've read quite some books about teens with cancer, but none as fun as this one. Most stories about this subject are very emotional and sad which makes me dread the ending. This story is not like that. The main character is a funny person who tells his story in a funny almost comedic way. He compares his experiences to crazy or impossible situations. All the people around him don't see overly supportive or emotional, which makes this book different from others. His dad seems worried but doesn't show this in an extreme way. His stepmom seems to support him by just being there and staying positive. Isaac seems to be worried but he doesn't show it. He doesn't respond to Ross' messages and isn't really involved in the whole process. I'm very interested in how the relationship between these two will work out. The drawings and comics in the book tie all of it together. It makes the subject more normalized and makes the book more enjoyable to read. I can't wait to read the rest of it!
