I found this book amusing to say the least.
Gracie is a great character. She has an innocence and nievity, which is so cute. Being such a studius girl, she has never allowed herself to have any fun or enjoyment. It has always been books and post it notes.
Her suspected tropical illness gave her imagination something to run with. She loved the drama of dying young. She even felt the need to show it off to her friend. She was both relieved and disappointed when she was given the all clear.
Life is such a drama for Gracie. She would have to find something interesting and exciting to do with her life now. Her survival couldn't be in vain. She needed to fill the years to come that were so nearly stolen away from her.
