The positives of this book were that it had some fairly funny parts.

I am aware that I probably wasn't the target audience for this book and some of characters that annoyed me would possibly appeal to younger readers than me. Gracie herself, was pretty annoying. At the start of the book we realised that she often overreacts and panics about things. The worrying thing being that rather than talking to her parents about how she feels she goes to A&E to waste the time of staff there. So far, you could kind of forgive her.

She then becomes in some ways more likeable when she tries to start doing more things with her life after having spent a long time studying for her GCSEs. The key moment when she seems nice is when she takes her nan to paris.

From there on in she goes downhill though. She forgets about her friends and family and essentially behaves like an idiot. It's kind of swept under the carpet by the end with her saying she's sorry and blaming it on the death of her nan. Although how much of it was just that she was an idiot is debateable.

Her best friend, Til on the other hand is a much more likeable individual and really should have been the main character. More books about Til please and no more focused on Gracie!
