This is a good follow on from Don’t Make a Sound, setting the scene perfectly from the traumatic events of the child abduction case Cody is tasked with solving. You feel both frustration and understanding with him as the book develops and the actions he is taking.

I was willing him not to make some of the decisions he was making, whilst also having sympathy for why he had decided to act in that way.

I did find it hard to connect with Sara in some areas of the book, as she felt like a distant character. However, you could understand where she was coming from and why she felt as she did.

I’m definitely looking forward to finding out how the running theme throughout all the Cody series of books concludes! (I’ve definitely been put off clowns for life!!!)
