I love a good thriller and Your Deepest Fear by David Jackson did not disappoint. I didn’t realise that it was part of a series featuring the character of DS Nathan Cody as this book definitely works as a stand alone with enough back story to really have you intrigued and invested in what happens to Cody and the case he is dealing with.
I am not a huge fan of clowns and the description of them in this book definitely adds that extra scare factor.
I wasn’t as keen on the character of Sara. I did enjoy some of her dialogue and encounters but I just didn’t find her storyline as appealing as reading about Cody’s and the traumas he had faced in his past.
A great fast paced thriller that had me hooked and I definitely want to read more of the series.
