The cover of this book is interesting - though not compelling. In a shop I might have picked it up to read the blurb, however I don't find it distinctive. However, the extract, once I began to read it was interesting from the outset and easy to navigate. The story unfolded at a nice speed as the characters were built. I was engaged and wanted to read more once I'd reached the end of the extract. As a parent myself I could relate to the constant fear of losing a child whilst trying to balance living - with a view to future growth. The futuristic house fascinates me and I'd definitely like to know more. Great start to the story.
