Bella and Grace are four year old twins and then Grace is knocked down by a van and dies from her injuries. Since this accident Bella has not spoken a word and communicates using a tablet with a voice synthesiser.
Nikki, Bella and Grace's mother has not got over the death of Grace and is constantly on edge and fearful that something might happen to Bella.
Ethan the girl's father and Nikki's husband has decided that after 2 years it is time for the family to move on and that the start of this journey should take the form of moving house. The house he has chosen is a state of the art AI controlled home that the architect having interviewed them offers to sell to them.
