Wow, what a first few chapters. An opening mysterious first person prologue which doesn’t appear to be any of the characters in the opening of the novel itself. Something to tuck away and think about, looking for clues as the novel unfolds.
Into the novel itself, I instantly warmed to Nikki and Bella but hold a small amount of suspicion towards Ethan who doesn’t seem to be on the same page as Nikki. The visit to the new house with the enigmatic architect (I thought exactly the same as Bella did when I ‘saw’ her!!) and the peculiar ground floor children’s bedroom are all leading towards something.. I’m just not sure what yet!
