The idea of surveillance in a home being used for the wrong reasons/with disastrous effects is a plotline that really grabs me! I've just finished a book by Catherine Ryan Howard called Rewind that sounds very similar in terms of the methods for keeping people safe doing the exact opposite. I'd love to read on!
