A promising start to the blurb - a family's life is changed in a split second. I like a book like this; exploring the family dynamics and how each character copes with the tragedy. However I began to lose interest when I realised I wasn't sure how the theme of the book was going to develop; is it becoming a more futuristic, sci-fi novel? I'm not sure.
