Nikki and Ethan move to a brand new high-tech house, with their daughter Bella. The move is an attempt at a fresh start after the devastating and tragic loss of Bella’s twin sister Grace. The house is the brainchild of renowned architect, Catriona Fisher, and has been designed to cater for (and pre-empt) the inhabitants’ every need. Nathan’s reasoning behind choosing this house is so that Nikki and Bella feel safe and secure, and hopefully their emotional wounds can begin to heal (Bella has not spoken since the accident which led to her sister’s death, three years prior). Unfortunately things don’t quite work out how Ethan and Nikki had hoped…..
I thought this book was a quick, easy and enjoyable read. It definitely has some sinister undertones to the storyline, and I certainly wouldn’t want to live in a house so reliant on technology…..
