This was a very creepy, page turning thriller that I flew through in a day! The background to the story is a family (Nikki, Ethan and their daughter Bella) move to a new house for a fresh start having been recently bereaved. This is no ordinary house, it has state of the art technology and is ahead of its time. Unsurprisingly things aren’t necessarily as they seem and the new dream house appears to be turning into a bit of a nightmare! The story is highly reminiscent of some of JP Delaney’s work of late. For the most part it is engrossing and a quick read - short chapters, jumping from scene to scene. Around 2/3 in, it began to feel a bit of a stretch to continue to suspend my disbelief. Overall this is a good read, lots of good ideas and creepy elements but not too scary if you’re a wimp like me!
