I found the initial premise of the story, the loss of a child, heartbreaking. This makes it all the harder to consider that a family who has suffered loss is going to have more grief in their new home. The idea of AI dominating our lives is a current and interesting one. The fact that this is channelled through the home is scary to say the least.

I felt very much for Nikki who has suffered terrible loss. The story is told from her viewpoint although in the third person. The easy descriptions of London are familiar and add an air of authenticity to the narrative.

Already there are many questions the reader will be curious to gain answers for. For example is Catriona the architect to be trusted? Is the house to be feared or is there another force at work?
