I really liked this book, it was a fresh take on the AI genre. I liked the characters and genuinely wanted them to be okay, I even felt sorry for Katy and understood her feelings and confusion. The book was fast and made me want to keep reading to find out more about what was going to happen.
There were some plot twists I didn't see coming, especially the therapist for their daughter, it was good that there were unexpected elements as sometimes AI books can be predictable.
I did think the ending was a little rushed and it would have been good to know more about the aftermath of the explosion and how their daughter coped with what had happened in more detail.
I liked the ending and the suggestion that the ordeal might not be over for the family.
