I was so intrigued by the premise of this book, and so was waiting eagerly whilst it was delayed in dispatch. But. It was just a bit of a disappointment. It didn't really flow, it often felt forced, and whilst the idea was quite unique, in many areas it just felt so beyond belief that the suggestion of a security system gone wrong was a bit of an eyebrow raiser.
The part of the book that did capture me was the reflections that were connected to grief, and to the loss of their daughter Grace. The death of a child is becoming more and more common as a plot device, and whilst I truly believe nothing within fiction writing should be taboo, it is always important that such plot techniques are handled with respect.
