From the start I was gripped! The whole concept of this book was amazing and sounded like a dream house yet we all knew it would not stay that way for long. The story starts with a devastating event that leaves the family needing to escape to a new house. This house pre-empts your needs which is wonderful! You can talk to her and she will order food and make you a coffee. What isn't to love? Yet it all starts to go wrong and the family get trapped inside with no ways to escape as the house goes rogue and traps them to plan her revenge. Throughout the book we see snippets written by a mysterious stranger that comes in at the end to bring the story together. I loved the concept and how the story developed and I could not put it down. My ony criticism is that I felt the ending was underwhelming compared to the build up. There was so much suspense about how they would escape and I was left a little disappointed. Would still highly recommend however
