This is a very, very difficult review to write. I was really enjoying this book. It had such a chilling tone which was created from the start and just gave me this chill because the suspense was created so well. I really enjoyed reading it from the start because of this because of this tone and the mystery. It was super well written and very hooking!
The ending....I did like the plot twist but this ending just didn't work for me. It's difficult to explain why without spoiling it but it's an ending which is quite ambiguous...it was what I would call an open ending and those can be a hit or miss for me. I just wanted the conclusion to be more than it was. It just didn't work for me.
Actually now that I think about it...I wasn't a fan for the majority of the ending and with thrillers, the ending is arguably one of the most important aspects. This had so much potential but the end really disappointed me. Does this mean that this isn't for you? Not necessarily...it wasn't for me but I think if you like an open ending then you could enjoy this.
