Soooooo, this had such a promising start...
A family struck by the tragedy of losing one of their twin daughters at such a young age. Looking for their fresh start they left behind the house that held so many memories and ventured to somewhere they could finally feel safe!
Although the wife/mother never really did and with just cause.
The book started well, I sympathised with the mother, felt heartbroken for the remaining little girl and kinda resented the husband being able to go about his life in a carefree fashion.
Then the new house, well how far fetched can it get? An Alexa-type gadget controls the lot! Hmmmm, would anyone feel safe and secure in that environment. It all ended up moving very quickly away from the original storyline to something rather dark and kinda unpleasant. It wasn’t a fun read, it wasn’t particularly gripping but I ploughed through hoping for a big finish..... oh well, not for me.
