What an absolutely outstanding rollercoaster of a ride!

Sarah, a hardworking, very recently single mum is dedicated to her job in academia. However her hard work will amount to nothing due to her sexual predator of a boss who threatens to ruin her career unless she complies with his demands. She has seen how he has ruined the women before her with his powerful position at work...

When Sarah rescues a young girl in danger, she puts herself in the path of a powerful and dangerous man who wants to repay his debt to her. So he offers Sarah a one time deal of making her problems disappear. No chance of being found out, with no consequences. All she has to do is give him a name, it takes is one 29 second phone call.

Would you do it? Could you? Everyone has to give a name...

Wow is this one a fast paced thriller. From page one I was gripped. Not only is it exciting, but it is very thought provoking and relevant to today's society given the Hollywood harassment scandal of late. It had me wondering what I would do in a similar position to Sarah. Would I take it higher? Would I even be believed? How would I be treated by fellow colleagues? Hollywood scandals are well and good for raising awareness, but in the real world things work a little differently.

I really liked Sarah's character and was invested in her story and dilemma. Logan made her boss Alan Lovelock a repugnant character that made my skin crawl. His writing is powerful enough to evoke a physical response.

There were several twists in the book that I just didn't see coming, and even when I thought I had a handle on the story, another twist came in and bowled me over.

This is a solid 5 star read for me! I haven't read Lies by TM Logan, but I will now be purchasing a copy and avidly awaiting future stories.

I would like to thank Readers First and Bonnier Zaffre for giving me a copy of this book in exchange for a review.
