I won this book on First Reads after writing a review of the first look at the book. I was glad I god the chance to read this as it was my kind of story. Being a big fan of crime writers.
The book didn't go in the exact direction I thought it was going to, but all in all it was good.
Sometimes the writing wasn't too enjoyable for me, some scenes seemed to last for a long time, but there are other scenes which I read through like lightning and I was sad to come to the end of the book.
I love the cover, the colours and fonts all just work so well for me. I know we shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but if I had seen this book on a shelf in a store I would have definitely picked it up, at least to read the blurb.
