......... but I'm afraid that I didn't really enjoy "29 Seconds" very much at all. I was expecting a thrilling, pager-turner of a book but, whilst the basic story-line could have been made into a decent novel with quite a bit of tweaking, I felt that its execution left a great deal to be desired. I found it neither thrilling nor exciting and I struggled to finish it.

I found the protagonist, Sarah, to be a weak and somewhat pathetic character, who made improbable, unbelievable decisions. This made it difficult, if not impossible, for me to elicit any sympathy for the awful situation in which she found herself. Most of the novel was so far-fetched that it was totally unrealistic, with one-dimensional characters throughout, and the ending was just beyond belief. I'm afraid this is not a book I could recommend.
