It needed a different reason to end but was fabulous nonetheless

I read this start to finish in one sitting in under 3 hours. So, to say I like it is a bit of an understatement.

I'm a firm believer in you can read the blurb at the top of the page so I'm not going to summarise it here and I'll just cut to the chase. This was really great. It was a very fast moving, flowing story that is hard to put down because you're moving so quick through it you know you can get it done.

I was so eager to figure out how Sarah was going to be able to bring Alan down. She calls in her own favour and I love how it unfolds in the end with who was involved and how it all played out. I could almost give this 5 stars but

(SPOILER)

I personally was not satisfied with what brought him down. Perhaps that's because we live in the era of MeToo and I think he deserved to be exposed for what he was and not use something else as a scapegoat. There would have been plenty of ways to get the real truth out, I think, with a few more pages

(END SPOILER)

Nevertheless, I am impressed at the pacing of this and how it kept me gripped enough to get through in an evening. I would give this author another read, I think.
