This is the 4th TM Logan novel I’ve read and they’re generally well written, this is no exception.

The author takes on the difficult task of writing from a female perspective but I think he does it well, using a situation all too many women are familiar with, and leads the reader to do themselves what they would do if they were given the choice.

It has short chapters, which works well for me as I often sneak in chapters i between doing tasks, waiting in the car at school pickup etc, so if you’re a reader that tends to dip in and out when you get 5 minutes then this could work well for you.
The short chapters also add to the “unputdownable” appeal as you often hold on for a few more pages, just to see what twist or turn is coming next.
Like any good crime / thriller it keeps you guessing as it leads you to the conclusion, whereas I found Trust Me to be a little predictable, 29 Seconds kept me on my toes until the end.

Lovelock is a genuinely detestable character - up there with the Percy Wetmore’s of the literary world
