29 Seconds is a story about Dr. Sarah Haywood and her struggle to keep a senior, male colleague's unwanted sexual advances at bay and then Sarah dealing with the consequences of her actions!

I struggled with this book and it's plausibility from the opening pages - the unrealistic Russian mafia circle to the unbelievable, surreal ending. I wouldn't put this book in the genre of thriller by any stretch of the imagination - it was comical and laughable at times (even if this was subconsciously by the author).

While I understood the concept of the main character choosing between right and wrong and coming to terms with the decisions she has made, the story quickly ran out of steam and repetition was present throughout.

I didn't think the mentions of the BBC, Operation Yewtree or Jimmy Saville were warranted or needed.

The synopsis I read of this book, was not reflected in the covers and I can’t tell you how long it took me to work out why this book is called 29 Seconds! When I finally did I was left deflated and robbed (but that might have just been me).
