Firstly, I love the cover. Time has become such an odd concept for those of us dealing with lockdowns (does anyone actually know what day it is anymore?) so a broken clock is very apt for a murder mystery set in pandemic conditions.

Someone going missing while breaking lockdown rules, in an unprecedented time period during which nobody would know exactly where they were, is a chilling and clever twist on current events, playing on fears we may have developed over the past few months. And the harmless beginning to Ciara and Oliver's relationship makes the murder, which we know is coming, loom large over the everyday events of their meeting.

I'm eager to find out more about what happened to Ciara and Oliver, and to follow partners Lee and Karl as they try to piece the events together. I'd fly through this book in a matter of days, making it the perfect read for this moment in time.
