I wouldn't have thought I would want to read a book about lockdown after living it for 15 months, but the opening chapters of 56 Days is compelling.
I loved The Nothing Man, such an original premise and so can't wait to read this one. I have just missed out on using my points, so i hope I am lucky in the drawer.
The opening chapters have set up the characters really well. Ciara and Oliver clearly both have some issues of their own that need to be resolved, but it looks as though only one of them gets to do this - but which one?
Lee and Karl as the detective team obviously have very different lifestyles, but it looks from the position that Lee finds her partner in that there is true trust there.
This looks like another winner from Catherine Ryan Howard.
