I can't really explain why but I really could not get into this. The opening paragraph set the scene without introducing any of the main characters but introducing a mystery.
When we are the taken to 56 days earlier I just did not feel intrigued enough to read further. I didn't feel anything for either of the characters to make me want to read on.
I don't think I was helped by the cover or the blurb, neither of which appealed to me.
