Slow to begin, but I did not see one of the twists coming. I found once I’d started this I struggled to put it down; I wanted to read to the end.
I did enjoy reading about the police more so than Ciara and Oliver, but I was still intrigued trying to figure out if anyone was lying and in what way. I actually enjoyed the fact that it jumped back to scenarios and looked at them from the other person’s perspective, as it gave a fuller picture. There were a couple of twists I did guess, but there was one major and one minor that I definitely did not see coming.
I’m still struggling to see why two people who have only just met each other would move in together, COVID or not. It was way too early and I just had to suspend my disbelief at that. My other criticism is that it was a bit too slow at the beginning for my liking.
Overall, I did enjoy the story and liked seeing the mystery unravel from a few different perspectives.
