As far as thrillers and mysteries goes, this wasn’t my favourite as I just wasn’t a fan of the switching of perspectives (which is strange as anybody who knows me knows that I love dual/multiple perspectives). I just wasn’t that interested in the detective’s side of things, and I found myself wanting to skip the chapters. However, I was interested in Oliver and Ciara’s perspectives as from the start you knew that they were both hiding something. At times, the book felt a bit drawn out but again, I think was due to the detective’s perspective.

I found the concept interesting, and the fact that it was based during covid-19 interesting as I haven’t read a book that has the pandemic included in the storyline. However, although I did find the reveals to be surprising (I definitely thought it was going another way), I found the actual ending a bit anticlimactic which was a shame. However, it was a quick and easy read that I did find enjoyable.
