I really enjoyed the premise of this story. Two people meet before lockdown and then decide to love together. What could go wrong?

Howard manage to dupe me and lead me down all her red herring paths.

I did find my interest started to wain slightly in the middle, mainly because there was too much repetition and my lack of patience of wanting to know what on earth was the deal between the characters.

Both of the main characters had secrets and it was a case of finding out what these were.

This is were the narrative jumping from different times was good. Just as we were unravelling the story, there would be a jump to the past to see it from a different perspective.

I think this will be a good story to read also in years to come and we can look back on the aspects of lockdown. Reading it now was fresh in the mind, but there are nods in there to all the chaos and uncertainty.
