I feel that this book was slow to start. From the blurb I thought one of the characters was dead but it was actually the other way round! I think the blurb does the story justice even if I did get it wrong.
To begin with I found it confusing constantly going back between the past for her, for him and the present for the police but once I'd got on board it was fine.
The final half of the book was thrilling, so many twists and turns and I really didn't expect it to turn out the way it did.
I would recommend this book if you enjoy the style of Jodi piccoult but a crime thriller like Elly Griffith's.
I think the title and the front cover suited the book and I would pick this up in a book store based on these.
I thought it being about covid would be too soon but actually it was fine, the details surrounding covid in it meant it could have been at any point in the world and a made up virus :)
