So many plot twists!

It's interesting... this is not usually a genre that I enjoy but I read the premise of this and the first look and I was intrigued. So, I was excited when I won this book and I came to me in a beautiful hardcover edition. Maybe it's because I don't read this genre very often but I was surprised by how things turned out several times throughout the story. Nothing that had happened did I see coming in the slightest which is what made this book so enjoyable to me. I just wanted to keep on reading and find out more information.

The characters were very interesting and surprising. Ciara and Oliver were two great main characters that I constantly wanted to know more about. I'm a very character driven reader so interesting characters are a must for me to enjoy a book. This book definitely delivered on that front.

I now want to read more books in this genre and by this author as well. There are also chapters were you follow a detective who is trying to solve the murder which worried me a little at first because I really dislike it when books follow detectives but it's not the main focus of the story so I could deal with it just fine.
There were a few details though that didn't at up with me. Like for example, if there are no flies in the apartment, where did the maggots come from?
