Well that wasn't quite what I expected, I assumed it was a typical city living romance. The start was well written and immersed me into Dublin life, it was very relaxed to begin with, clearly just a couple who attracted each others attention over the sarnies in Tesco. Slowly it had me asking so many questions and guessing what might be to come. None of my guesses were correct and some chapters had me absolutely floored. I couldn't put the book down, my husband laughed at me as I fought sleep to just read another chapter.
It got quite sinister towards the end as his paranoia caught up with him and he clearly began to feel like he didn't deserve happiness, this seemed to be the part where he would go on a journey to understand he did deserve her love but what happened next I could never have predicted. What a chilling end to a supposed love story which was actually a tale of vengeance.
