This book is one of the best that I have read in a long time. The characters are solid and believable, the writing is precise and the idea of the story is completely astonishing.
When I picked this book up I was expecting an indifferent, generic thriller, so much like many others on the market at the moment. How wrong was I?!
The storyline starts pretty gently, at the start of the recent pandemic, then becomes a rollercoaster driving towards a shocking conclusion. I literally read this book in twenty four hours. I could not put it down as I needed to know what happened next.
The characters are solidly believable, like anyone you could meet in the supermarket queue. The language is subtle and completely appropriate to the story.
Hats off to the author for coming up with something so current, that will have us all wondering who we are quarantined with.
