So where do i begin, i chose to read this book as i am a big fan of Agatha Christie and love delightful downtown abbey episode. However it didn’t live up to my standards, i found the writing a tad wishy washy and it was a little all over the place. In a mystery book i expect tension and a potential build up, but to my shock the plot and resolution was almost predictable. I love the way Agatha Christie describes her characters to the waist down but character descriptions were not on pare and were pretty poor.
A positive i can allude to is that this book is a humorous cosy mystery and i enjoyed the captivating characters with some witty wordplay. I also enjoyed the details of the English grand homes which were described well. The main downside for me who saw potential in this books idea and theme was it wasn’t thrilling nor exciting enough. You win some and lose some.
