This was a lovely read, and would very definitely be the.kindnofmbooknidnlove.to be given as a Christmas present so I could spend the 27th December reading it whilst in sweatpants with nothing better to do.
It is a strong attempt to be of a period, and while at times it seems a bit over the top and almost pastiche, it's enjoyable in the same way a good old.BBC period drama is. Not sure if buy it, but would happily read it
